You've seen these cover videos on business pages and it's certainly a nice feature to further enhance your business page as they serve as authoritative content. It's your own video billboard along the super information highway, it will retain more attention on your business page and be the first thing a visitor sees. You may have heard the phrase if a photo is worth a thousand words, then a video is certainly worth a million. Makes it hard to deny, the visual appeal when compared to a traditional still photo cover on your business page, which is typically your logo or a stock photo. The cover videos are absolutely a value driven asset that is often overlooked by many business pages. It could be you already have videos, maybe it's a business profile video or a tv commercial you had produced. You can repurpose any videos to be used as the cover video. But for those of you who aren't currently using it or have fear of the word video, I'm going to teach you exactly how to format your cover videos to reinforce your brand message. Facebook cover video upload settingsThe recommended resolution, or video size is 820 x 462, and a minimum size of 820 x 312. Typically in this day and age most videos are HD ranging from sizes 1280 x 720 to 1920 x 1080, but if you find yourself having standard definition videos or 4 x 3 videos, you can always resize and reposition any video when setting up the cover to help you fine tune the layout to make it look it's best. If you don't have any videos at all, consider recording footage with your phone. You can capture the exterior of your building, the sign, the lobby, staff interaction then edit those videos right on your phone. Once your video is in the correct format to upload as your Facebook cover video, make sure you're logged into Facebook and navigate to your business page. On your business page, click Add a Cover or Change Cover in the top left of your cover photo or video. Next locate and select your video file to upload or choose from videos you've already uploaded to your page. Keep in mind your cover video should be at least 820 x 312 pixels and between 20 and 90 seconds in length. After the video has been uploaded, reposition the video by clicking it and dragging it up or down. Once you have it positioned in the best spot, click Next. Select to automatically replay your video in a loop, then click Publish.
